Partial Hand and Finger Prosthetics
OrthoPro Associates | Miami, Florida
Fully Custom Naked Prosthetics
OrthoPro now provides Naked Prosthetics for finger amputee patients. Naked Prosthetics designs and fabricates durable, highly versatile custom prosthetic devices specifically for finger loss.
We offer three variations of these finger prostheses to accomodate different levels of amputation. However, all models restore fundamental grasps while utilizing your existing range of motion.
It’s All About Function.
Each device is custom designed to within millimeters of a patient’s unique amputation and hand structure. Design attributes include:
Custom-Designed and Fabricated
Every digit is designed to the patient’s unique anatomy and clinical presentation. Through design and engineering, every device provides optimal force output and range of motion for each patient’s individual digit.
Body-Driven
Motion and force output is dependent only on patient’s range of motion and strength in the affected digit; no wires or batteries are involved.
Intuitive
Because the device’s joint movement is driven off the motion of an intact joint, the device mimics natural finger motion and is highly predictable and reliable for the user.
Durable
Manufactured with medical-grade nylon, stainless steel, and titanium, these devices are capable of getting a partial finger amputee back to work in heavy-duty, hands-on occupations.
Protection
The rugged exoskeleton of each device helps shield the sensitive amputation site from impact and abrasion.
Heavy-Duty
All products are resistant to most common chemicals such as isopropanol, ethanol, acetone, and oil, as well as water, dust and dirt. Devices from Naked Prosthetics are heat-resistant up to 347° F.

MCPDriver
The MCPDriver is designed for individuals with amputations through the proximal phalanx.
The MCPDriver restores the middle and distal phalanges. These body-driven, articulating devices allow patients to regain fine dexterity and natural grip patterns. The MCPDriver excels at restoring pinch, key, cylindrical, and power grasps, as well as grip stability. Each device is custom-designed to within millimeters of a patient’s unique anatomy to successfully mimic the complex function of a finger
MCPDriver Features
- Silicone backplate interface for increased comfort and protection.
- Interchangeable suspension rings to allow the patient and prosthetists to find the ideal fit for the user.
- Shims that can be added or removed to fine-tune the fit as needed by the patient due to volume fluctuation or preference.
- Abduction/adduction washers allow the prosthetist to adjust the mechanical finger. The freedom of motion in this component helps the patient gain optimal grip.
- Ten unique color choices and silicone backplate pairings allow patients to customize devices to meet their style preferences.
PIPDriver
The PIPDriver is designed for individuals who have an amputation through the middle or distal phalanx.
As an articulating, body-driven prosthesis, the PIPDriver restores length, provides dexterity, replaces a missing DIP joint, and protects sensitive residua. Each device is custom-designed and fabricated to within millimeters of a patient’s unique anatomy to successfully mimic the complex motion of a finger.
PIPDriver Features
- Custom-designed to fit comfortably and suit daily needs
- Easy to don, doff, clean, and care for.
- Slender and sleek design allows for wearing of multiple devices
- Conforming silicone rubber tip pads resemble the natural fingertip
- Lightweight titanium fasteners
- Ten different color coating styles
ThumbDriver
The ThumbDriver features a unique anchor design that tracks the patient’s natural CMC motion and provides a rigid structure to react to the heavy forces generated by opposition.
The tip has an adjustable preflex and articulates more subtly than in the MCPDriver. Each device is custom-designed to within millimetres of a patient’s unique anatomy. The fingers are designed to work uniquely with the thumb in opposition. The ThumbDriver restores the ability of the hand to make a multitude of opposition grasps by providing IP joint flexion and tracking of the complex multi-axial motion of the thumb.

- Interchangeable suspension rings to allow the patient and prosthetists to find the ideal fit for the user.
